A shock wave, a HEAT wave, a cold wave followed LeBron James decision to dump Cleveland for Miami.
First the cold wave. That was a Cleveland phenon. A suprised chiller. Why the surprise? Shouldn't have been. There was nothing happening in Cleveland. I don't want to make a joke about it, but -- There is never anything happening in Cleveland. Enough on Cleveland.
The HEAT wave. Wow -- for Miami. LeBron James decision is a big one for Miami. Miami is getting one of the best NBA players to join the great ones they have.
The shock wave. If you are a NBA fan, or a media executive whose company telecasts or covers the NBA, then LeBron James going to Miami is good news. You can expect to see more great and competitive basketball. Basketball is a team sports and the best games are the ones between good teams. This will increase fan and public interest, increase the NBA ratings and the attention to NBA related game stories. BUT if you are a fan of a particular team and that team doesn't happened to be the Miami Heat, then -- OMG! SHOCK WAVE!
LeBron James and Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade! Does anybody here remember Michael Jordan? Great basketball player right? But when did Michael Jordan become the Michael Jordan? When he became a member of a team of great players. The Bulls became the dominating BULLS. The shock wave released due to LeBron's Thursday announcement is still rumbling through the NBA Eastern Conference. I bet 'ya, that many, well, some, more than a few, true loyal fans of particular teams are mumbling that they wished he (LeBron James) had stayed in Cleveland.
